The brief
A local taxi firm competing with national apps and long-established cab companies. Most bookings start with a phone search, so the site had to win "taxi near me" style searches across Barnstaple and the surrounding towns, and turn those visits into bookings straight away.
What we built
A fast booking site with a ride form above the fold (pickup, drop-off, date, time, passengers), one-tap call and WhatsApp, and a set of local landing pages for every town and airport they serve. TaxiService structured data and a real FAQ help Google understand what the business offers.

The challenge
What we were up against.
Taxi bookings in North Devon start on a phone, usually in a hurry: someone at the station, leaving the hospital, or planning an early run to the airport. MyTaxi needed to be the first name they found and the quickest one to book.

National ride apps and long-established Barnstaple cab firms already filled the search results.

People search by place
Customers type "taxi Bideford", "Exeter airport taxi" or "Barnstaple station taxi". One homepage can't rank for all of those.

Every extra step loses a fare
Someone on a phone wants a car now. A contact page and a number hidden in the footer send them to the next result.

Put the booking form in the first screen
Name, phone, passengers (1 to 5), pickup, drop-off, date and time sit right in the hero and repeat further down the page, so booking never needs a second page.

Keep call and WhatsApp within reach
Sticky "Call Now" and "Book a Taxi" buttons follow you down the page, and the WhatsApp link opens with a booking message already written.

Build a page for every search
Landing pages for the towns around Barnstaple (Bideford, Ilfracombe, Braunton, South Molton, Great Torrington, Combe Martin, Woolacombe, Lynton & Lynmouth), for Exeter, Bristol, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, and for the train station and hospital runs.

Answer the questions that stop a booking
Fares up front with no surge pricing, the fleet (Toyota Corolla, Lexus ES 300, 8-seat Mercedes minibus), flight tracking, card, contactless or cash, and 24/7 service including Christmas Day. TaxiService schema and an FAQ help Google show these answers in search.
